I served aboard the USS Norton Sound AVM-1 from March 1952, August 1953 and then to the USS Curtiss AV-4, from 1953 to 1955 when Honorably Discharged.

The Norton Sound was the first ship to test missiles being fired from a sea going vessel.
During my time aboard the Curtiss,
the ship was assigned to the AEC,
(Atomic Energy Commission).
We paticipated in Operation Castle and Operation Wigwam, nuclear tests.
